Going over everything in my head is making me slightly crazy, it's hard to keep up with what is and is not supposed to be going on everyday.
Wedding coordinator called, everyone on the list has received their invite and has RSVP as recommended. But the thing is, totally left out some people that I really want there, so how is it I forgot them? Well didn't really just was a series of phone tag. Kinda hard to send out invites if we don't know their last me or their address.So don't know if that's a check or not...
Tux's for the guys are picked out and next week everyone is going to be going and getting fitted. Check
All my ladies dresses are in except mine and my daughters, they come in only a week before the wedding. yes very scary. Check
A hostess has backed out so have to fill her position, have someone in mind have to call them tomorrow
Know who is doing flowers. Check
Cake? Yes we still do not have a cake, the original person we had picked out to do the cake but had some issues with their family and no longer working with that individual. ARGH. Have another place picked out go bye and pick out the flavor and how it is going to be next week.
Need to get grooms ring. kinda have style in mind but need ring size.
Bridal shower invites out. Check
Starting to wear shoes to get them broken in. Check
Bigger issue is, Food, yep no caterer yet. have a couple in mind but trying to stay within our budget and since the list keeps growing not shrinking this has proven to be an issue.
Make-up artist, and hair stylist still up in the air also. Make-up has been WAY too pricey. Seeing that was going to be part of the gifts to the ladies for being in the wedding, has to be a bit economical. $50-60 per person? Really? For makeup only? Sorry that's a bit too steep for me. So search continues....
Favors? Need more ideas for these, Photo booth isn't going to work out as planned. We aren't really having a theme per-say. So what favors do we pass out? Both wedding and reception are at the church so nothing crazy...any suggestions?
Bridal shower next weekend, what are we supposed to wear to this? Dress up? or Casual?
Decorations, Check.
The gift issue is doing me in. Have to get SO many people gifts, rightfully earned no doubt about that, but don't want to give them something that is common. But, don't have enough money to give them all extravagant items as they deserve either. What to do?
Think that that is all for this right now. Still SO much to do and only about 20 days left to do it in.

Background story
I've been a single mom now for 9 years. Have been though a lot and would love to share my experiences whether they be success stories or failures. Right now our lives are very chaotic, have only a month left till we are married. This means I have roughly 30 days to catch you up on what's been happening the last 9 years and keep up to date on wedding progess...
First time I met Alex really seems like it was out of a book.
Out with Nick his best friend getting some shopping done, a car pulls up in front of me in the parking lot and Nick replies that this is his best friend he had been telling me about. Looking at Alex through the window had made me shake, sweat and gave me butterflies like I had just rode an extreme rollercoaster. My hands were visibly shaking Nick asked if I was ok, I reached out my hand and he touched it and looked back up at me. What was going on here? I've never had this type of reaction with anyone ever and I hadnt even talked to him yet. With my 7 month old in the back seat it was seeming like we were heading into a nerve wercking shopping trip.
We met up with Alex before entering the store, he spoke, my heart melted. All this going on and I seiously looked like a bum that day! Which just added to the anxiety I had welling up inside of me. He was well dressed and had a shaved head (LOVE guys that look good in a shaved head) he was articulate but not snooty. Heading into the store Alex had my mind racing....
Insanely shy, cute and quite physcially advanced, these were some of the qualities of my daughter Rachel. She wouldnt even go to people she had known since she was born. Just how she was. Rachel's little legs held her up very well, and she walked very early on. Picking up random items in the store then placing them on the bottom of the cart, she always had a look of accomplishment on her looking up at me as she grabbed the rail at the bottom of the shopping cart. To my surprise she didnt mind these new people that were accopmaning us. With an inquisitive look she examined them, they were both quite tall Nick about 6 ft even and Alex 6'4", in utter amazement Rachel held up her hand and reached for Alex's finger. During that trip if Alex ever left Rachels side she'd look at me and say in her little voice, 'friend?' with her shoulders up to her ears and arms extended uppward.
Is this possible? Her biological dad has been mostly out of her life besides the occasional 2am drunk banging on th door episodes. Now in a matter of about an hour we were both really into this guy. Like I said out of a story....
But that was just how we met.
The next 6-7 years will be in next post...
